Golden Ticket Cinemas is now operating out of its new corporate office in Durham. The rapidly expanding theatre chain moved its offices from its previous location off Old Oxford Road in Durham to 1,930 square feet of space at 1901 Hillandale Road, Suite 102. Pickett Sprouse Commercial Real Estate Broker Mark Micol represented property owner Cole Mill Partners in the lease.
Golden Ticket Cinemas is one of the top 50 theatre chains in the U.S., operating 17 locations in 11 states, with two additional locations slated to open in North Carolina by the end of the year. One of those will be in Greensboro and the other will be in Greenville. A third new location is expected to open in West Virginia in the first quarter of 2024.
“With our growth, we needed a modern office setting with more space, more offices, and a conference room,” said John Bloemeke, President, Golden Ticket Cinemas. “We are planning on hiring several more corporate support staff in the coming months, and the new space has the room to accommodate this growth. Additionally, the location is very convenient as well, right off I-85.”
Out of the 20 locations that will be open by the first quarter of 2024, 16 have luxury reclining seating. Select auditoriums have laser projection systems and 11-channel immersive sound. Deliver-to-seat food and beverage menus have also been expanded in most locations, and alcohol is offered in select locations.
“Our focus is on bringing a modern, evolved, luxurious movie-going experience to hometown America.,” said Bloemeke. “Most of our locations are in mid-sized towns that desperately needed their local theatres upgraded. Of course, we also target larger markets such as Greenville; Greensboro; and Rapid City, South Dakota among others.”
“Not only does the new space have the room to accommodate Golden Ticket’s growth, but it also offers a more modern look and feel that match the atmosphere of the company’s theatres,” said Mark Micol. “The space will allow Golden Ticket to focus on what it does best, helping audiences create memories from going to the movies.”
Golden Ticket Cinemas’ initial term for the lease is three years.
