The owners of Nomad are planning a new venture in the building previously occupied by Hot Tin Roof in downtown Hillsborough, with help from Emilee Collins of Pickett Sprouse Commercial Real Estate. B.J. Patel and his wife, Smita, aim to create a family-friendly bar that deviates from the traditional tavern concept. Their vision includes a vibrant, community-oriented space with a revamped outdoor area featuring local art, greenery, and fire pits. 

“It’s a pleasure to be a part of bringing a different flavor to this corner of Margaret Lane,” says Emilee Collins. “It’s a great space and location. I love seeing Hillsborough thrive and grow in positive ways.”  

Drawing inspiration from Patel’s youth in England, the bar will offer a relaxed, social environment for families. The new establishment plans to collaborate with local vendors and feature acoustic music, with a targeted fall opening.
