Orange County ABC Board Opens Additional Retail Location in Southern Village

Pickett Sprouse Commercial Real Estate Facilitates Lease

The Orange County ABC Board's newest retail location is now open in Southern Village. The new store opened in October in a 3,420 square foot space at 300 Market Street, Suite 122 in Chapel Hill. Pickett Sprouse Commercial Real Estate brokers Mark N. O’Neal, CCIM and Emilee Collins, CCIM represented the Orange County ABC Board in leasing the space.

O’Neal and Collins had been working with the board to identify an additional retail location in the southern part of Orange County. When the space in Southern Village became available, they negotiated a long-term lease with improvements with Landlord D.R. Bryan and Sarah O’Brien of Bryan Properties. D.R. Bryan was the original Southern Village developer.

“We all agreed that the new ABC store would energize that block of retail in Southern Village while also offering high visibility for the new look and feel of the Orange County ABC brand,” said Collins.

The Orange County ABC Board has been working toward elevating consumers’ shopping experience with larger floor plans, high ceilings, natural light and adding a larger variety of products with local North Carolina selections.

“While this new store is just now coming to fruition, the board has had its eye on Southern Village for many years,” said O’Neal. “Pickett Sprouse is pleased to have helped all parties make this a reality.”

The new location is the ninth ABC store in Orange County.
